
Hand Bell Choir
Brownson
has a complete
five-octave set of Schulmerich Hand Bells and Tone
Chimes. The hand bell choir performs several times throughout
the year. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 6:00.
Adult Worship Arts
Liturgical
Drama utilizing the classical forum is used throughout the year
in worship. On the lighter side, grand entertainments including
musical reviews and small group ensembles are enjoyed by
audience and participants alike at some of our monthly
Fellowship Night Gatherings.
Instrumentalist
Various
instruments are used to accompany the hymns, choruses, choral
anthems, and solos throughout the church year. Let us know if
you would like to play. |
Our
Music and
Worship Arts Ministries
use a variety of music styles from classical
masterpieces to gospel, folk, and contemporary compositions.
Highlights include special concerts and glorious expressions of
faith during Christmas and Easter. Past works include
Mendelssohn’s Elijah,
Vivaldi’s Gloria,
Faure’s Requiem,
Handel’s Messiah, and
Dubois’
The Seven Last Words of Christ.

Chancel
Choir
The
Chancel Choir
participates alternately in the 8:45 and 11:10 Sunday Worship
Services. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 in the
choir room from September until June. We take time off during
the summer, although a Summer Choir gathers to rehearse an hour
before our services.
New singers of all levels of experience are always welcome!

The purpose of our
Children’s Worship Arts
Program is to nurture our children’s sense of joy,
their spirit of worship, their understanding of church,
and their knowledge of music and the arts, as well as to offer
opportunities to utilize their gifts.

Joyful Noise
1st-5th Grades
Sunday, 4:00-4:45 p.m.
Worship Arts Troupe
6th-12th Grades
Sunday, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Both
groups present in worship from September through April.
Their year culminates with a spring musical celebrating
God’s greatness and love. The children learn about worship
through utilizing the arts of choral singing, tone chimes,
drama, dance, mime, and the visual arts. |
